Conker™: Live and Reloaded
Microsoft® Game Studios
Gaming’s notoriously naughty squirrel—Conker—arrives on the Xbox with a bang in an all-new Xbox Live™-enabled team-based shooter, Conker™: Live and Reloaded.

The game features intense Deathmatch and Campaign story line modes via Xbox Live and System Link, and players can compete as one of six combat specialists across multi-mission campaigns covering Old War and Future War. The warfare promises to deliver the non-stop action, humor, and innuendos Conker is famous for.
Conker Features:
Team-focused, story-driven, Xbox Live gameplay: Team-based gameplay is at the heart of this shooter, pitting the noble Squirrels against the evil Tediz. Players can choose from a variety of scenario-based missions featuring two unique campaigns-Old War and Future War-with each mission featuring its own distinctly challenging gameplay mode. Campaign story lines, comprised of multiple missions played progressively, bring an innovative and fresh approach to team-based shooters and Xbox Live , supporting up to 16 players.
- Elite squad action: Players choose from six character classes, including Skyjockey, Long Ranger, Grunt, Demolisher, Thermophile, and Sneaker, each with its own signature weapons and abilities. In Conker: Live and Reloaded , team composition has strategic and tactical advantages and implications.
- Xbox Live gameplay: Team-based gameplay, innovative campaign story lines, and distinctive humor all make for a great experience on Xbox Live . Online players strategize, cooperate, and communicate as a team in Campaign mode, or venture out solo against buddies in Deathmatch. Players can earn war medals, rise through the ranks, secure unlockables, and download new maps.
- Massive arsenal for maximum carnage: Devastating weapons include camera-guided rockets, an acid thrower, and loads of grenade types. Operate five types of vehicles including Sky Steed, Mule Bomber, R-Hog, Toad, and Tankus and various types of equipment such as anti-infantry sentries, medi-guns, and a snoop camera. Special abilities allow players to disguise themselves or feign death and sneak up on unsuspecting foes to unload a demoralizing array of attacks.
- Twisted and irreverent world of Conker: Over-the-top humor, characters, and gameplay dominate in every way with rude wit, lewd innuendoes, and ridiculous violence. The juxtaposition of the characters, Squirrels and Tediz, and their world is at the heart of the humor. The expressions, exclamations, and special effects bring out the true Conker flavor.
- Wildly bizarre single-player adventure: The critically acclaimed single-player game Conker's Bad Fur Day is now on Xbox, fully recreated with amazing graphics and enhanced profanity. The game is full of hilarious situations, movie pastiches, off-the-wall puzzles, and crazy characters in an offbeat world, including horny bees, voluptuous sun flowers, singing piles of poo, and even Death himself.

Conker Gameplay
Conker has been in development for the Xbox for what seems like an eternity but at last some preview code had made its way to me in order to see if the game was worth the hype and the wait. Conker has catered for all players with the inclusion of the single-player game "Conker's Bad Fur Day" as well as the in-depth all-new Xbox Live-enabled team based shooter "Conker: Live and Reloaded". Non Live players will be happy to know that "Live & Reloaded" can be played offline via system link or as a single player against A.I. bots with multiple mission campaigns covering Old & Future Wars.
Since there is in theory two games here for the price of one, this preview will be split between both, starting with "Conker's Bad Fur Day". This game has been masterfully recreated for the Xbox with new puzzles so that players will not find it identical to the N64 classic version; in fact during the tutorial the game mentions that it has been slightly altered. For someone who has never played Conker (like myself), the game is full of crazy characters and movie parodies resulting in some of the most hilarious situations I have ever seen; all done with amazing graphics and profanity. To say the least, this game deserves its age rating, whilst the more mature players will be able to recognise many of the film take-offs, especially The Terminator and Jaws scenarios.
"Conker: Live and Reloaded" is a team-focused story driven game pitting the Noble Squirrels against the Evil Tediz. You must choose which side to fight for and select one of six combat specialists - Skyjockey, Long Ranger, Grunt, Demolisher, Thermophile and Sneeker, each specialist comes complete with signature weapons and abilities. Along with these devastating weapons, players can also operate five types of vehicles depending on which campaign they are playing in (Old or Future War) such as a Sky Steed, Mule Bomber, R-Hog, Toad Jeep and Tankus. If that wasn't enough, there are several weapons that can be operated by everyone. As well as the extensive campaign mode on offer, you could play a death match mode as well if you so choose. Each game style can support up to 16 players on Xbox Live.
Overall, the graphics are superb, animation is smooth and the humour with its rude wit, lewd innuendos and spectacular graphic violence make this game a pleasure to play as well as watch. This should be in my opinion a massive hit and a welcome distraction from the usual human shoot-em ups. Conker: Live and Reloaded should be released sometime in June in both the US and Europe.

Conker Graphics
Rare brushed off the dust and carefully put the tech back in Technicolor for Conker's revival. They've brightened and sharpened the colors in the game, all the better to see the blood splattered on the walls.
They've also added detailing that's only possible with Xbox®. Conker's fur blows softly (if I dare say it, sexily ) in the breeze. The wooden tables in the bar look solid enough to knock on for luck. For that matter, Daisy's knockers look mighty solid, too-solid enough to stand on, as a plucky little squirrel just might.
In other words, Rare brought the graphics on Conker: Bad Fur Day up to 2005 standards. The third dimension transcends the screen, deep and multi-layered. This is the kind of quality you've come to expect from those brilliant slaggers at Rare.
Between the graphics, the audio, and the added scenes, you'll find this new-and-improved version of Conker: Bad Fur Day , a welcome addition to the Live and Reloaded set. On those cold, lonely nights (whether you and Conker are tickling the busty brown-eyed Susan or hunting tail for future use), you'll be glad Rare included a single-player game.

Conker Audio
Remember Conker's cute, squirrelly flatulence? How could you forget? Well, in Dolby® Digital 5.1, it's anything but flat. It's full-bodied and ripe, ripping through your aural membranes. It will have you rolling in pain and pleasure on the floor in front of your television. It's true.
Rare has remastered the audio of Conker's: Bad Fur Day in order to bring out all the nuances of nastiness that you might have missed when you were playing the original release of the game.
The rootin'-tootin' music will have your toes tapping, while the dulcet tones of the most well-endowed flower ever known to mankind (or squirrelkind, for that matter) will have you wrapped around her little stigma.
Sproings now sound like sproings and screams like screams. And, there's nothing quite so squish-elicious as the sound Conker makes when he falls from on high.

New Cut Scenes
Did you play Conker's: Bad Fur Day in its previous incarnation on the Nintendo® N64? If you didn't, then I'm not talking to you, so bugger off. If you did, then you're probably wondering why you'd buy the game again.
Sure, lots of folks are going to want it for the multiplayer and Xbox Live T content. (Who can blame them? It takes war "tails" to a whole new level.) But, let's not forget that those saucy blokes at Rare have also included Conker's: Bad Fur Day , the well-loved single-player game, with new and improved cut scenes and level expansions.
Expect surprises. Expect scenes to go differently than what you remember. Expect to be challenged-and love it. http://www.xbox.com
