Graphics

It's a poker game, as you read this just remember that this game is indeed based around looking at your cards. That having been said this game does not stand up to many of the Xbox games out there. The character models, while their customization is a welcome addition, definitely don't invoke any jaws to be dropped. Emotionless faces populate much of the game and what little animation there is pulled off with the grace of an old Chris Farley skit. One thing that the game makes an admirable attempt at is presenting nice looking environments. Rather then being cooped up in a smoggy casino the whole time you'll travel to bar basements, cruise liners, and beach front property. While this definitely has an artificial feel to it (who plays poker on the beach?) it's nice to see the game developers putting in some effort to spice things up.

Audio

The game's audio sadly falls flat on its face. WCP attempts at offering a colorful announcer to the mix, but all this guy does is annoy and/or bore anyone who plays the game. His comments might start off fresh and seem like a nice addition to a poker game, but in the end you'll start to realize that you've heard him say, "Sometimes the best move is to fold" three times in a row with many more to come. The music in the game is thankfully defaulted to being set in the background, way way in the background, and that's for a reason. Upon turning up the volume it becomes very apparent that the music seems to be a mix of techno and rock and roll, a very odd mixture that comes off like something you might see from a third rate Linkin Park knockoff band.
